Appointments

Appointments can be booked using any one of the 3 following methods:

  • In person at reception
  • Telephone: Using our dedicated appointment line – Tel 335561
  • Online: Via the link at the top of this page, (you will need to have registered for online services to use this facility) details are available at reception.

All routine appointments are available to book up-to four weeks in advance.

Please let us know if more than one member of the family needs to be seen as we operate a strict one person one appointment policy. The standard duration of a GP appointment is 10 minutes; please let us know in advance if you feel you may need longer.

Telephone Advice

We also have the facility for you to book a telephone consultation with the doctor. Telephone appointments are appropriate for any patient wishing to consult with a doctor for a condition which does not necessitate an examination, e.g. to discuss test results, medication changes, general advice. These appointments can be accessed by any one of the three booking options.

If you require urgent same day advice please contact reception who will require a contact number and some indication of the problem so that the doctor or nurse will be able to access the urgency. The doctor or nurse will return your call as soon as they are able and always the same day.

Urgent Appointments

Patients with urgent problems will be seen the same day. If you need to request a same-day appointment, it may be necessary for you to give details of the problem to the Receptionist in order for her to confirm with the doctor that it is appropriate. If this is the case, your co-operation would be appreciated. Reception and administration staff are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as the medical staff.

Chaperones

During your appointment with the doctor or nurse, you are welcome to ask for a chaperone.  This will usually be one of the nursing team, however if a nurse is unavailable another staff member can chaperone with your agreement.
